Huge shifts can happen if you take a major break between your workday and evening. Studies have shown, for example, that nurses who take a 15-minute break at the end of a stressful workday have healthier cortisol rhythms at night. Healthier evening cortisol levels also help your weight, hormones, blood sugar, cravings and sleep.
